WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PUBLIC SHOULD KNOW?

Militia Field Day is Saturday, April 12th. People from the general public will be there.

What information would you like to see handed out?

Write them up and send them in, or print and copy them yourselves.

Some things to consider:

How does a gun work?

What is caliber? What are grains?

How and why do people reload?

What is a good gun for home defense?

How do I start a militia unit on my block, in my area, or wherever?

What will different types of bullets penetrate?

How can I make my home more secure?

What are The Pioneers? Why should I do something like that?

What kind of communication gear should I have for emergencies?

How much first aid training should I have? What kind of first aid kit should I have for my backpack/car/household?

Yes, this is kind of like a school project, with pictures and displays and the like. We want people to have information, and also realize that their local militia can be a good source for such information.

E-mail your ideas to webmaster@michiganmilitia.com no later than April 5th, 2008. You may also bring them to training on April 5th, when we will have L2 qualifying for the 2008 Pioneer Class, AND range improvement for MFD 2008.

You may also print and have copies to pass out on the day of Militia Field Day, but be advised that handing out flyers that are hateful, racist, or that encourage unlawful activities will not be tolerated.
